National Child Passenger Safety Week is September 12 -18. Sitter Socials, the nationwide service connecting parents and babysitters, and Volvo, known for its unmatched safety and reliability, join forces to host a FREE, OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Car Seat Safety event for the whole family

According to the US National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, the number one cause of death for children in the United States between one and 16 years old is auto accidents. This occurs primarily as a result of nonuse or improper use of child seats and seat belts. Its easy to make mistakes when installing a car seat, let alone ensuring that its installed correctly. Both Sitter Socials and Volvo are concerned with kids and safety and thought this would be a useful and important event for families. This is a great way to give back to the community, said Victoria Muschek, founder of Sitter Socials.

Whether you need an infant carrier, regular car seat or a booster, learn which one is appropriate for your child and how to use it correctly to keep your kids safe

HOW:

Families come to the event with car seats in tow and have their car seats checked for safety. Experts will be on hand to answer any questions regarding car seats, like where your child should ride in the car, when you can move them to regular seat belt, and weight requirements.
