Moms on a Mission San Diego Fundraiser for Haiti
Moms on a Mission San Diego announced it will be hosting a fundraiser to raise money for the Haiti earthquake victims. It will be held at the Fellowship of San Diego Church (4353 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 91203) between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm on February 6th. Donations of gently used goods for the sale are being accepted on Friday, February 5th, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. 100% of proceeds from the sale will go to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. Items on sale will be a combination of gently used goods donated by local families and new items donated by businesses. The ladies will be conducting silent auctions as well, so please go prepared to donate to a worthy cause and take home a little something. As an added incentive the first 500 shoppers will receive a free gift certificate from Pat and Oscar’s Restaurant. Moms on a Mission, which is comprised of members of the Rancho San Diego Playgroup and San Diego Moms Message Board, has raised over $16,000 during similar fundraisers that took place to provide relief for victims of Hurricane Katrina and Tsunami of 2004. The moms have a goal set to raise $10,000 for the February 6th fundraiser. For more information, contact Moms on a Mission at (619) 920-7973, momsonamissionsd@gmail.com or visit Moms on a Mission SD.
