San Diego Company Launches KidZui

Review by San Diego Bargain Mama

When it comes to the Internet, we as parents have growing concerns for our childrens safety and well-being. Indeed, our kids are the most vulnerable of web surfers, vastly exposed to a plethora of predators and objectionable content that seems harder and harder to filter out. When our kids are on the Internet, we want to be ensured that they are engaging in positive and beneficial content that is aligned with their interests and curious minds. We also want to properly facilitate them as they explore and open doors to a world of adventure via non-intimidating technology.

Enter, KidZui - an Internet browser/parental control service designed for kids ages 3-12 to explore the Internet so that they can be both safe and creative. A San Diego software company developed this technology with hopes to empower families, enabling them to open them up to an educational and entertaining, yet non-threatening, world of online discovery.

Two hundred paid and trained teachers and parents were hired to scan the World-Wide Web. With strict guidelines, they white listed appropriate kid-friendly Web sites, approving of over 500,000 top sites, videos and pictures. Likewise, KidZui was road tested, prior to launch, by 8,000 parents and their kids proudly, many of SDBM Members, included.

The KidZui experience offers a level of freedom to the whole family that is quite refreshing. This very kid-friendly browser is equipped with sound effects, colorful graphics, and easy to navigate buttons and menus. Kids create their own avatar, or cartoon representation, called a Zui, then choose categories, Web sites, photos and videos that they want to review, and of course everything must be approved of by the parents. The content displayed coincides with the age level of the user, which differentiates motor skills and reading levels. Parents have peace of mind having the ability to approve of the exact content and activity that they want their kids exposed to, and the comfort of receiving regular reports that show what their kids had reviewed. They also can help their kids add, block, or delete their KidZui friends, with whom they can share their findings.

KidZui is bound to find areas that need improvement, but is convincingly devoted to continually fine-tuning the expansive process to come, as the web grows in content and opportunities.

KidZui is yours free for a 30-day trail period Parents can take advantage of a special Charter Membership rate of $4.95 per month or $49.95 per year, a 50 discount from standard rates of $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year. This is a limited time offer.
