SDBM School Supply Shopping Tips:
- Stock up on the extreme deals. When you can find for a dime and a quarter what is typically 400% higher, take advantage of the deal and store your supplies.
- Grab the store circular or print out what you are going to purchase at a given store, and stick to the list.
- Take a marker along with you and as you enter ask a cashier to tell you just which isle each item can be found. Pick someone who seems to know his/her stuff well, as some of these kids (lol- I am old) have amazing recall. Then write the isle number down next to the merchandise photo on your ad. Try this, as you will save a tush-load of time – I kid you not. They purposely scatter the doorbuster deals all over the store to get you to fill the cart up and buy fuzzy pencils for $8!
- Find any penny or ten cent deals? Likely, there is a minimum amount you can purchase, so give your kids each a basket and a small budget have them fill it up with those deals and give them each a few bucks to play with. They will be enriched by your savvy shopping tactics, and learn a lesson in the process.
