National Coworking Day Aug. 9, 2011

This post is brought to you by a wonderful group coworking group that I have been a part of called Gravy!

Hey folks! It’s the 6th annual National Coworking Day!  To celebrate this spirit of community, connection and collaboration, coworking spaces all over the country are doing something special, San Diego included! Gravy is part of a collection of local coworking communities that are collaborating to increase awareness and promote coworking as a resource for the local business community.

National Coworking Day Aug. 9  10:00am–3:00pm

Where: Vital Climbing Gym, 6102 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, CA 92011

Date: August 9, 2011 Time: 10:00am–3:00pm

Together, we are asking attendees to pay an entrance fee of $10 which will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad! Let’s pay it forward by helping kids get a leg up in life! Coworking connects professionals who have workplace flexibility (work at home, consultants, entrepreneurs) in one space to work, independently along side or in collaboration with other people. Coworking gets people out of their isolating shell and interacting/working creatively and ultimately more productively.

What’s going down on this special day? Check out how gravy’s celebrating with our workshops and giveaways! 11-12pm: Social Media 102 1pm-2pm: Bring Your Idea to Market Wanna come but can’t get kid coverage? Gravy’s got you covered! Knuckleheads Gym (next door to Vital) is offering gravy attendees a super special rate of $5/hour per child for a maximum of 2 hours.

Ditch your home office (or Starbucks) for the day and come join us!  If you can’t make it to our event, check out the participating San Diego coworking spaces near you!
