Hurricane Sandy Relief: What San Diegans Can Do

Red Cross Our hearts go out to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Red Cross needs your help now.  The American Red Cross has issued an urgent need for immediate blood and platelet donations as well as monetary donations.

How You Can Help Now

Donate:

Go to redcross.org.
Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
Text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Your gift enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to those affected.

Blood Shortage:

More than 325 American Red Cross blood drives were cancelled as result of this storm, so people in the San Diego area are incouraged to visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment. There are many blood drives in the San Diego area this week to choose from, visit sdbloodbank.org.
