Fashion and Style-Inspired Websites

Looking Good for Less
We often find ourselves stuck in a routine, and trying a new hairstyle or DIY décor idea helps to spark one’s creative juices. I discovered some creative and unique sites that are fashion and style-inspired to help you add some personal flare to your life! Enjoy!
BirthingHip
BirthingHip.com is a relatively new website that’s collaboratively written and all about fashion! All the contributors are mothers and come in every shade and size so you’re sure to find some fashion inspiration that fits you. BirthingHip features things that are on-trend and show you how to wear them through creative outfit-inspiration boards and personal examples from their various bloggers.
The Beauty Department
TheBeautyDepartment.com is a fabulous website created by Lauren Conrad, Kristin Ess and Amy Nadine. They post daily tips, tricks and fun hair and nail ideas you’ll instantly want to try. All of the tutorials they feature are really wearable, so you’ll be able to try something new and not have to wait for a special occasion to try it out!
Apartment Therapy
Whether or not you live in an apartment, ApartmentTherapy.com is a great resource for inexpensive DIY projects that will totally transform your space! It’s also a great place to find inspiration and perhaps daydream a bit about your perfect room.
Readers of Apartment Therapy will also send in images of their home décor creations, and they’re wonderful! I am not very creative when it comes to decorating my home, and I really like to be able to see creative and practical usage of space.
If you’re a DIY-er or home décor lover, this is the site for you!
Pinterest is really great for finding inspiration! A friend recently said: “What is all the fuss over Pinterest? It’s just basically a virtual collage.”
The answer to that is yes…and no. Pinterest allows you to create categorized “boards” related to your interests. The images you add are clickable and will take you to the image’s original source. That is awesome because a picture of a popsicle could be a link to a great blog post with various delicious recipes!
A few weeks ago I found a fun DIY Dinosaur Jacket idea on Pinterest that I cannot wait to make for my son this fall.
If you aren’t on Pinterest yet, I suggest you check it out! You might need an invitation, but I bet if you ask around at least one of your friends is already on Pinterest.
Between these sources you’re sure to find something new and interesting to try!
