Comic book enthusiasts Free Comic Book Day is May 4 (see link to help you below). Comic book shops across around the world give away comic books FREE to anyone who goes into their stores, but check with your local shops to see how they are participating.

Another place that has a TRUE party is Southern California Comics in San Diego.
They will be handing out thousands of free comic books including the FCBD Walking Dead comic with a new story written just for the event! They will have face painting for the kids (and adults!). Two gourmet food trucks have signed on to furnish food for the event: Artisan Pizza and Mangia Mangia Mobile.
